At the top of the screen there are three different views that allow users to navigate through everything, along with a plus button to add new tasks and a More button to access other important screens. The three views include the new calendar view, the original task view, and a notification center.

The new calendar view features three distinct sections. The first is the date bar where users can scroll right or left to select a date or pull down to view the full month and select a specific task for that date. The all day section shows events that last all day and aren’t scheduled for a specific time - like birthdays and holidays. A small icon appears on the left beside the event to separate it from others, and the size of the all day section can be changed by dragging the bar up or down. Lastly, the tasks and events are displayed in different colors and different icons in the task area so users can keep tabs on their hectic schedules. While the calendar view will show both events and tasks, the task view only displays tasks so users can stay on top of things. The last section is the notification center, which shows reminders. A red number next to the bell shows how many new notifications there are to view. When the bell is tapped, users can view reminders, snooze, or dismiss them completely. 24me is loaded with many other features like the option to link everything to the app such as social networks, bills, financials, and more. There’s also the options to use voice commands to add meetings, tasks, and reminders, as well as integrated Outlook tasks and navigation.

After using the app and playing around with all the features, the main disappointment is that it only gives the option to sync with the iPhone calendar and contacts. I couldn’t find a way to sync Google calendar separately with the iPhone or any other calendar options. Additionally, I’m skeptical when it comes to completely free apps. I didn’t see any promise that my information wasn’t being stored and shared, which causes some privacy concerns. Update: A privacy policy is available on their website, which should be read carefully to see what information is stored. Furthermore, a passcode helps protect private information from prying eyes for those who are concerned.

24me 2.0 promises to work flawlessly, and it does that quite well. I was impressed by all that it has to offer since it is completely free to try. It’s definitely an app that many busy iOS users will want to keep their eyes on as it helps make life a little simpler.
